What are Self-Help Workshops?
Workshops on how to help yourself with the many healthful benefits of Reflexology.
Can children learn Reflexology?
Yes, children can learn and use Reflexology. Children can receive Reflexology and be taught Self-Help protocols in the workshops.
Is there an age limit for participants?
The WRF does not at this time have an age cut off for participants. Reflexology can help all ages from infants to the elderly. Infants, youngsters, teens, young adults, middle-aged, seniors, and the elderly have all successful participated in WRF Self-Help Reflexology workshops.
Is there any cost to attend a Self-Help Workshop?
Our workshops are provided free of charge. Trainers volunteer their time and expertise to conduct workshops, although there is a small material fee for the workbooks to cover the costs. Participants are welcome to make donations to the WRF if they wish. As a 501 (c)(3) Non Profit Foundation donations are tax deductible.
What is required to have a WRF Self-Help workshop in my area?
To have a Self-Help Reflexology workshop conducted in your area some of the requirements are: at least 10 people or more, a quiet location where a workshop can be conducted, comfortable chairs (preferably chairs without arms), possibly a table or two, comfortable room temperature, bathroom facilities, good lighting, etc. Other specifics will depend on number of participants, room size, type of workshop, and other factors. A list of any additional equipment needed will be provided when scheduling a workshop.
Where is instruction conducted geographically?
WRF instruction started at various locations in Southern California. Over the years the program expanded and instruction has been conducted throughout the
- USA – California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington
- Canada – Richmond
- Germany – Lüneburg
- Mexico – Zacatecas, Malpaso, Tijuana
- New Zealand – Auckland and Nelson
As the program grows, instruction will be conducted in other continents around the world.
In what types of facilities are WRF Self-Help Workshops conducted?
Self-Help Workshops can be conducted in almost any type of facility. So far they have been conducted in peoples living rooms, garages, studios, apartments, community rooms, hotels, meeting rooms of other foundations, in public and private school classrooms, health centers, and other facilities.
How many people can be in a workshop at a time?
This depends on many factors. The short answer is, the more WRF Volunteer Trainers available and present to assist with the training, the more people that can be trained at one time. The average WRF Volunteer Training so far has had ten to twenty participants, but as few as five.

Funding and Donations
How are you funded?
The Board of Directors along with Volunteers have been the main donors during the formative stages of the WRF. Other financial support has come from yard sales, recycling efforts, and cash donations.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, your financial contributions are tax deductible. Please consult your tax preparer.
How can I donate?
Your donations are vital and quite welcomed to help further the mission of empowering people at home and around the world to have the many healthful benefits of Self-Help and Family-Help Reflexology. There are many ways you can donate financially:
- Money Money can be donated by postal mail, through the Donate Button on the WRF website www.WorldReflexologyFoundation.org, during workshops, volunteer gatherings, etc.
- Bequests, annuities, income property, and similar contributions can be donated by contacting the WRF Office 818-754-4777.

What percentage of a donation goes to the mission of WRF?
One Hundred Percent (100%) of all donations support the goals, mission and ideals of the WRF, since, at this time, we do not have a salaried staff or Board of Directors.
What do you use the donations for?
We fund workshops here in Southern California, and, as the reach of our workshops spreads, we will be funding workshops nationally and internationally. Other costs are: printing, paper, office supplies, workbooks, instructional manuals, office equipment, teaching aids, website, newsletters, and other related costs.
Do you have corporate sponsorship?
Not at this point in time. We would however entertain limited corporate sponsorship given the right situation that would not compromise the goals, mission, and ideals of the WRF.
